Your day begins with a convenient pick-up from Glenelg or Adelaide, where you’ll travel through the scenic Adelaide Hills. Along the way, enjoy views of the changing landscape and wildlife such as kangaroos and emus. First, we visit Kies Family Wines, where you’ll be greeted with a warm welcome and enjoy an exclusive tasting in their winemaking facility. Surrounded by wine vats affectionately named after family members, you’ll taste their award-winning wines while learning about the family’s history and winemaking techniques.
Next, we head to the charming town of Tanunda for a 20-minute break. Stroll the high street, shop, or grab a coffee before continuing to Turkey Flat Vineyards, a historic family-owned winery dating back to 1847. Here, indulge in a structured wine tasting followed by a delicious regional platter lunch featuring local meats, cheeses, fresh bread, and more. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available to suit all dietary needs.
After lunch, we visit Menglers Hill Lookout, offering stunning panoramic views of the Barossa Valley. This is the perfect spot to take in the scenery before our final winery stop at Rosenvale Vineyards. As a 6th-generation family winery, Rosenvale offers a sensational wine-tasting experience set against the backdrop of lush vineyards, where you can taste world-class wines produced by the very vines surrounding you.
The last stop of the tour is Seppeltsfield, where you’ll experience both history and beauty. Visit the iconic Seppeltsfield Mausoleum and learn about the fascinating legacy of this historic winery. You’ll also have time to snap a photo of the iconic Date Palms before we begin our journey back to Adelaide.
Throughout the day, enjoy a mix of wonderful wines, local produce, and spectacular views, making this tour an unforgettable experience in the heart of the Barossa Valley. Your day concludes with a return to Adelaide around 5:30 pm, leaving you with lasting memories of your perfect Barossa adventure.
