Paint and Palate Street Art Tour
Tour Summary
Looking for a tour that’s as bold and creative as Adelaide itself? The Adelaide Street Art & Food Tour is your gateway to the city’s colourful laneways, internationally acclaimed artists, and delicious sweet treats—all in one unforgettable experience.
Led by Flamboyance Tours and guided by a passionate local, this two-hour walking tour explores the works of Adelaide-raised, London-based artist Jimmy C (James Cochran), alongside murals and pieces by other talented South Australian creatives. From the vibrant East End to the buzzing Chinatown precinct, you’ll uncover how Adelaide’s street art scene has flourished into a powerful expression of identity, culture, and community.
The tour highlights Jimmy C’s iconic “drip-style” technique, a globally recognised art form blending abstract realism and pointillism. You’ll get an insider’s perspective on how his artistic journey began in Adelaide, evolved into collaborations across continents, and continues to inspire creatives worldwide. Along the way, you’ll see his works in person—some tucked away in side streets, others boldly on display—each telling a story of place, people, and passion.
But this isn’t just an art tour. It’s also a flavour-filled exploration of Chinatown, where your journey is sweetened with local foodie stops. Sample some of Adelaide’s most loved desserts and sweet bites, discovering why this cultural pocket is a favourite among locals for more than just dumplings.
Perfect for art lovers, culture seekers, and curious foodies alike, the tour is limited to a small group (maximum 10 people, average four), ensuring an engaging, personal experience. It’s the perfect way to connect with Adelaide’s vibrant creative scene, while indulging your senses in art and taste.
To top it off, you’ll receive bonus resources post-tour, including links to Jimmy C’s broader body of work and the latest Adelaide Fringe Street Art Explosion map, so you can continue your street art adventure independently.
Whether you’re new to the city or a local wanting to see it in a new light, the Adelaide Street Art & Food Tour is a fun, insightful way to experience the city’s “Radelaide” spirit—one mural (and mouthful) at a time.
