Hahndorf & Adelaide Hills Hop On Hop Off Tour

Tour Summary

Escape the city and step into a postcard. The Adelaide Hills region is all about gentle valleys, cool-climate wines, and the kind of countryside charm that makes you want to slow down and stay a while.

Wander through Hahndorf, Australia’s oldest surviving German settlement, where timber-framed buildings, artisan stores, and cosy cafés line leafy streets. Taste handcrafted chocolates, sip locally brewed beer, or indulge in traditional German fare — all at your own pace.

This tour gives you the freedom to hop on and off at handpicked stops across the Adelaide Hills, from boutique wineries and cheese producers to panoramic lookouts and hidden villages.

Whether you’re chasing crisp white wines, heritage charm, or a laid-back country escape, this tour is the perfect way to explore one of South Australia’s most beautiful regions — without the rush.

How Trailhopper Tours Work

“Our comfortable bus collects [you] from a convenient Adelaide CBD location in the morning (the Stamford Plaza Hotel), then once in the region we follow a recurring timetable circuit that takes 50-60 minutes to complete, in which time we visit all 10-15 of the selected venues. We follow this same timetable each and every hour until it’s time to return to the city in the late afternoon (approx 5-5:30pm).

Along the way you are free to hop on or off at any of the established stops, so that in a full day tour you are likely to see up to 4 wineries of your choosing, at your own pace, and independently from the other groups on the bus.”
