Pinnacles Day Tour: Stromatolites, Lobster Shack & Pinnacles Desert
Tour Summary
Step into the natural splendour of Western Australia’s wild coastline with our Pinnacles Day Experience—a full-day guided adventure exploring some of the most iconic and awe-inspiring landscapes the west has to offer. Escape the bustle of Perth and journey north to discover lavender-scented fields, ancient marine life, and the breathtaking Pinnacles Desert in Nambung National Park.
Your day begins with a peaceful morning tea at either the Yanchep Lavender Farm or the charming Yanchep Chocolate Drops Tearoom. At the Lavender Farm, savour the flavours of freshly baked scones and creamy lavender ice cream, surrounded by blooming purple fields. Alternatively, indulge your sweet tooth with handcrafted chocolates and local treats at Chocolate Drops, a beloved tearoom nestled in the heart of nature. Morning tea is included, offering a perfect start to your relaxing getaway.
Next, we head up the coast to the picturesque fishing village of Cervantes, where you’ll enjoy lunch at the famous Lobster Shack. Choose from a variety of fresh Western Australian seafood dishes, served with coastal views and a refreshing drink. (Lunch at own expense.)
After lunch, stretch your legs with a tranquil walk along the Lake Thetis boardwalk, home to one of the Earth’s oldest life forms—stromatolites. These living fossils are not only rare but offer an incredible window into prehistoric life. Along the way, take in the vibrant colours of seasonal wildflowers such as banksias, kangaroo paws, and grass trees, set against a backdrop of unspoiled coastal wilderness.
The highlight of the day awaits at Nambung National Park, where you’ll witness the otherworldly beauty of the Pinnacles Desert. These striking limestone formations, rising from golden sands like ancient sentinels, create a surreal landscape shaped by time, wind, and sea. Visit the Pinnacles Desert Discovery Centre to uncover the natural history behind these formations before taking a short walk to stand among the pillars themselves.
As the sun begins to soften the desert’s golden hues, we begin our return journey to Perth, arriving by 7:00pm, with your spirit uplifted and your camera full of incredible memories.
Perfect for nature lovers, photographers, and curious explorers, this Pinnacles tour from Perth offers the ultimate blend of coastal charm, geological wonder, and natural history. Join us for a day of discovery and let Western Australia’s magic unfold before your eyes.
