Highly recommend!
We started the day with Lorry giving us a fantastic run down on what wines McLaren Vale had to offer. He was very knowledgeable on what the wine region had to offer and recommended places to go. Lorry also had a great sense of humour making the trip a lot more enjoyable along the way. Thanks for a fabulous time! Highly recommend!

Flexible, fun and informative.
Classic fun day. Our driver and guide Lachy was sensational - humorous and informative. Ran the pick up and drop downs like clockwork. Great wineries that would normally remain unknown to the general public that have champion wines to sample are at the forefront. The pick up/ drop down format is extremely flexible. Do your research beforehand, select which ones you want to visit on the day and driver takes care of the rest. Simple and easy. You could take this tour more than once and get a different experience each time. A great way to see any of the wine regions around Adelaide.

Fun day in McLaren Vale South without a car
This is my 5th time now with Trail Hopper! My friends and I was part of the the Saturday 6 April tour in McLaren Vale South which was lead by our friendly and knowledgable drive Nathan (Nate). Nate was easy going and shared great personal insights about the region which was interesting and helped to enhance our experience on the tour. The tour ran right on schedule which was great. We visited 4 cellar doors on this new route and enjoyed the wines, particularly the Grapple wine/cider from Oxenberry and wonderful service at Hastwell & Lightfoot. Overwall, the cellar doors we visited were peaceful and not too overly croweded - great for insta photo opportunities. Looking forward to join Trail Hopper again soon.

We went on a Tuesday when most wineries are closed but we're still able to find some that were open . Brett was an exellent driver/ tour guide . We had a cheese platter at Fox Creek winery that was great . The tour left on time at 10 am and we're always on time to pick up and drop off . Everywhere we went the staff was very friendly and helpful . It was a wonderful day and can highly recommend

A very Memorable day out at McLaren Vale.
One of the most memorable and enjoyable days thanks to this awesome business. From the onset Sheree helped us with our last minute booking and then we had the fantastic Nathan as our driver. Outstanding customer service. Nathan surprised my husband with a jar of Mulberry jam, an emotional moment we will never forget. Will definitely use again. Fantastic.

How Trailhopper Tours Work

“Our comfortable bus collects [you] from a convenient Adelaide CBD location in the morning (the Stamford Plaza Hotel), then once in the region we follow a recurring timetable circuit that takes 50-60 minutes to complete, in which time we visit all 10-15 of the selected venues. We follow this same timetable each and every hour until it’s time to return to the city in the late afternoon (approx 5-5:30pm).

Along the way you are free to hop on or off at any of the established stops, so that in a full day tour you are likely to see up to 4 wineries of your choosing, at your own pace, and independently from the other groups on the bus.”
